The Huffington Post

I was interested to read an article from The Huffington Post about Barack Obama as it linked to a post from english@kkc. In the article Arianna Huffington talks about the role of casting in the American presidential race and “the American public’s readiness to replace the John Wayne take-no-crap-cowboy model of leadership with a Gregory Peck-does-Atticus Finch archetype.”

The blog linked to a post about Atticus Finch and his final courtroom address. It is one that is worth revisiting as it has a transcript of Atticus Finch’s closing argument in the Tom Robinson’s trial and a clip from the film adaptation of To Kill a Mockingbird. For revision purposes it is obviously a useful post to look at as it covers a very important speech in the novel.
