2011 Puffin Short Story Award

The winners of the nationwide 2011 Puffin Short Story Awards were announced at the Storylines event in Auckland on Sunday, 28th August. The competition was hotly contested and there were over 1500 entries. The winner of the senior section was Tamara Blackshaw in 9 Joh who won with a story she wrote in English called ‘You Can’t Slay Death’. Tamara received an iPad as a prize as well as 50 Puffin books for the school library. Congratulations Tamara!
