She ransacks her wardrobe but she has nothing that she wants to wear, she has a big pimple and feels fat. All she wants is to look like the models in the glossy magazines …

Lenny Kravitz is Cinna

Some of you were talking about the latest bit of casting for ‘The Hunger Games’ movie: Lenny Kravitz will play creative, kindhearted stylist Cinna.

Director Gary Ross said of the casting decision, “When I saw Lenny’s work in ‘Precious,’ I was just knocked out. It was quiet and strong and understated and openhearted; all qualities which define this character. I’m really looking forward to this ride.”

Cinna is the stylist for District 12 tributes Katniss and Peeta. Hunger Games stylists are responsible for presenting their tributes in complex costumes and ensembles that reflect characteristics of the tributes’ native districts, as well as the personalities of the young men and women to which the stylist is assigned. Cinna is one of the few calming presences in Katniss’ life, as well as one of the few people she can trust.

I know that some people don’t know who Kravitz is but he is not just an actor as he is also a famous musician. Here is one of his biggest hits, ‘American Woman’ –

Take a look at  Norwegian ‘singer’ Tonje Langeteig’s “I Don’t Wanna Be a Crappy Housewife.” Apparently she’s “a little pretty girl trapped inside a grownup’s body.” She makes Rebecca Black look like Celine Dion.

Epic Lip Sync

This is great!

A US city upset at claims it was dying has hit back with an epic YouTube video clip that has gone viral. Grand Rapids, Michigan, produced a nine minute lip syncing sensation to Don McLean’s classic, American Pie, in response to an article on Newsweek.com in January this year.

Roger Ebert calls it “The Greatest Music Video Ever Made.”
